Website Terms of Use
Effective October 23, 2026
These terms cover your use of https://acmecreationlab.org, the public website of ACME Creation Lab (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Who we are
ACME Creation Lab is a makerspace and a set of private studios and labs in Dallas, Texas. The Site is run by the companies that operate the space:

- ACME Studios Dallas LLC (ACME Studios), 1228 Rock Island Street, Dallas, TX 75207

What the Site is for
The Site tells you about the space, memberships, studios and labs that are for rent, events and how to give. It is information, not an offer. Prices, availability and descriptions can change without notice. A membership or a rental exists only when you and the right company have signed an agreement (see below).
Membership and rentals
Memberships, studio and lab rentals, and contractor work are governed by the agreement you sign with the company concerned, together with the facility rules and the invoices issued under it. If these terms and your agreement disagree, your agreement wins. Signed-in tenants, members and contractors also use our portal, which has its own Portal Terms of Use.
Contacting us through the Site
When you send a message through the inquiry form we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give one) and your message, and we use them to reply to you. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, government ID numbers or other sensitive information through the form. Sending a message does not create any obligation for either of us. Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts made through PayPal's donation page. PayPal handles the payment under its own terms and privacy policy, and we never see or store your card details. Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, a donation is a gift to support our work and is not a tax-deductible charitable contribution. Donations are not refundable except where the law requires it or we agree in writing.
Events and other services we link to
The events calendar is provided by Eventbrite and appears in a frame on the Site. Maps open in Google Maps. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. See our Cookies notice for what they may store in your browser.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- try to get into the signed-in parts of our systems (the portal or the administration console) without an account of your own;
- scan, probe, overload or scrape the Site, or send automated or abusive messages through the form;
- upload or transmit anything unlawful, harmful or deceptive, including malicious code;
- use the Site in a way that infringes anyone's rights or breaks the law.
We may block access to anyone who does.
Our content
The text, logos, designs, photographs and videos on the Site belong to us or to the people who made them and are used with permission. You may view the Site and share links to it. Please ask before you copy, republish or use our name, logo or images, other than in ways the law allows without permission.
Photographs and video of events, classes and the space may be used on the Site and our social media. If you do not want to appear, tell us and we will take reasonable steps to leave you out or remove you.
No warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". We try to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, always available, or that everything on it is complete or current. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim about the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here changes the terms of your membership or rental agreement.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
