Portal Terms of Use

Effective October 23, 2026

The portal at https://portal.acmecreationlab.org is where tenants, members and contractors of ACME Creation Lab see invoices and pay them, read and sign documents, manage guests, and use the other tools we provide. By signing in you agree to these terms. They add to, and do not replace, your own agreement with us.

Who we are

The portal is run by the companies that operate the space:

  • ACME Creation Lab LLC (ACME Labs), South Riverfront Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75207
  • ACME Studios Dallas LLC (ACME Studios), 1228 Rock Island Street, Dallas, TX 75207

"We", "us" and "our" mean those companies. Each of your invoices and agreements names the company you deal with.

Your agreement comes first

Your Space Agreement, Membership Agreement or Contractor Agreement, the facility rules and your invoices are the contract between you and the company. If these terms disagree with your agreement, your agreement wins. The portal is a convenient way to use it, not a replacement for it.

Your account

  • Your email is your login. One login covers every role your email address holds with us (for example a tenant who is also a contractor). Please keep your email address up to date, because we send invoices, reminders and notices to it.
  • Keep your password private. Choose a strong password, do not share it, and do not reuse one from another site. A temporary password we give you must be replaced the first time you sign in.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your login. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us at once at contact@acmecreationlab.org.
  • "Remember me" keeps you signed in on that browser for 30 days. Use it only on a device that you alone control, and sign out on a shared one. See our Cookies notice.

What you can do in the portal

Depending on your role, you can see what you owe and pay it, turn on autopay, download invoices and receipts, read and e-sign documents, see electricity usage for your space, send maintenance requests, manage your guest list, and (contractors) log hours and see what you are owed. Which tools you see depends on your agreement.

Usage figures come from meters and are shown as we receive them. They help you follow your electricity use. Your invoice is the official statement of what you owe.

Payments

Paying and autopay are covered by our Payment Terms and Autopay Authorization.

Documents and signatures

We deliver documents and notices electronically and accept electronic signatures. See our Electronic Records and Signatures Consent.

Guests

You are responsible for your guests and for what they do on the premises. Before a guest visits, you must add them in the portal with a photo ID and they must sign the liability waiver. We approve guests for a limited time, and we can revoke an approval at any time. A guest who is not approved should not be let in. Only give out door codes to people you are entitled to give them to, and never share your own code.

Camera access

If we give you access to the cameras for your company's areas, it is for your own safety and security use only. Do not record, download, copy, post or share video or pictures of other people, and do not use the cameras to watch people for any other purpose. We can withdraw camera access at any time. See our Security Camera and Recording Notice.

Contractors

If you log hours, they must be accurate and for work you actually did. Hours are approved by us before they are paid. You are responsible for your own taxes. We hold the documents the law requires (such as a W-9) and use them for tax reporting.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • use another person's login, or let anyone use yours;
  • try to see another person's records, or to get past the portal's limits;
  • upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you do not have the right to share, including malicious files;
  • scan, probe, overload or scrape the portal;
  • use the portal in a way that breaks the law or our facility rules.

Messages from us

We email invoices, receipts, reminders, notices and account messages to your email address. Some of these are required by your agreement or by law, so please watch that mailbox and tell us if it changes.

Suspension

We may limit or suspend your portal access if you break these terms, misuse the portal, or put it or other people at risk. Suspending portal access does not end your agreement or release you from anything you owe.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

No warranties and limit of liability

The portal is provided "as is" and "as available". We try to keep it accurate and running but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages from using the portal, and our total liability for any claim about the portal itself is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). This does not change the liability terms of your agreement, and it does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date shows when they last changed. If you keep using the portal after a change, you accept the new terms. If a change is significant we will tell you through the portal or by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes about the portal will be brought in the state or federal courts in Dallas County, Texas.
